Goes to show what the media and some stupid people do with their lives. What is next cutting an astrick in Mcgwires stuff at Cooperstown after breaking the 70 HR mark???? Sad and sorry state what people think of the sport!

is bonds being vilified YES!!! but he is for better or worse the poster child for what went wrong with baseball and roids.i do belive that other players have done them and gotten off scot free from the public and the press. i think the reason people concentrate so much on him is the way he treats everybody else. hes never been comfortable in the spotlight as a public figure or role model. and no matter what hes done privatly thats what people judge him on.

Just how horrible is it that we would brand the historic Bonds baseball with an asterik before sending to the Hall? He has not been found guilty of anything as of yet! While I agree he is most likely guilty as sin, there is no proof, and he has not had his "day in court." We are in America and this is our National game! How can we convict this achievement as not worthy of Aarons without proof? The powers that be in baseball have not found a steroids test that he has not passed and have not punished him in any way. He should not be disgraced this way without proof! I am not a Bonds fan, but I believe he deserves better than this. We founded this country on innoscent till proven guilty! Does anyone agree that the act of marking this ball without proof is a bigger slap in the face to The National Pasttime than the fact that Bonds has been accused of and not proven of wrong doing? Where is the justice in this shameless act? Roger Clemens, Nolan Ryan, Satchel Paige and Pete Rose all played well in their 40's. They are all greats of the game and they all have no asteriks next to their names for performance drugs? Are we to assume that they can play well later in life and Bonds can not without some help? Hmm? I am at least happy that the Hall gets the ball and it has not been cut into baseball cards! I could see the ebay listing with a buy it now of $75,000 for the asterik cut on the UD Platinum Supreme Universe Classic Materials Legends of the Game Super Duper We Swear You'll Get a Huge Hit This Time Bonds HR Record ballcard!

This could just be a publicity stunt by Ecko. I could be wrong though. However, Indyreds, Bonds said he unknowingly used steroids when he took the cream and the clear. Sheff said the same thing. They took the stuff but didn't realize what it truly was.

above and beyond that even. roids unlike any other drug is not about what it does while your on it. which is to create more muscle mass but the fact once you have created the muscle you can stop taking the drug and maintain the muscle. so he may never test positive but the results of taking the drug are still there.

Anybody that says this is stupid should look at this. In this country we have the belief to do what we want. I mean if the guy wants to spend 6 figures on a ball and let the public decide what to do with it (KUDO'S TO HIM). IT his choice and with all the votes that he got it was definitely something people wanted to weigh in on.

p.s. Just a note another ball was bought shortly after this one and the guy plans on doing the same similar thing. So for those who say it stupid well there must be plenty of STUPID PEOPLE OUT THERE. Personally, I think it crazy to spend that much money to just blow but that what CARD COLLECTING has turned into. The person with the most money has the best collection not the most loyal fan etc.

I think the Hall needs to look at the stance and look if it accepts this ball. As it kind of taints them in with we just want the ball we don't care how it marked. As they are basically colluding with ECKO if they take the ball in my opinion. As they are showing it as a ROID user even if they say they believe otherwise.

See Don thats my point. People in this country THINK they have the right to do and say whatever! But that is not the case.

Now as far as the ball is concerned if he ships it to cooperstown send it back! The ball has been defaced, they don't own all the baseballs of notoriety!

Also the public voted on perception the media has created behind Bonds. I haven't see nor heard one news show or paper kill Canseco. How about Giambi they didn't run him out of NY for his taking of riods!

Heck maybe we should go to Canton and stick a knife in OJ's HOF stuff. The president himself could go on TV and say Bonds did not wrong and the baseball community wouldn't believe it! This is about the media destroying the game in their pursuit of news and ratings. Just another reason why I changed from baseball mainly to football. The commissioner stinks for MLB. He allowed all this to take place and do nothing about it. Time baseball got a commish like NFL!
